It has been decided that Mai Fukagawa’s photo book will be released. Photographed by Kotori Kawashima.
The shooting locations are Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island.
She enjoys playing at the beach, playing with dolphins, relaxing in an old folk house that looks like her grandma’s house, making shisa, and eating local foods such as soki soba and yushi tofu.
It is a book wrapped in happiness, as if you are enjoying a trip to Ishigaki Island with Mr. Fukagawa.

[Comment from Mai Fukagawa] This photo book is a project that was launched about three years ago, and the shooting date has been decided. While I was thinking that, I was hit by a difficult situation called coronavirus, and the project itself was postponed for a long time without being able to see the future situation.
However, over time, I was able to get together with the team I trusted again, and I was able to make it into a safe shape. I am so happy to finally be able to share this with you all.
This time, Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island were set as the stage, and photographer Kotori Kawashima took pictures as if traveling.
With the theme of “Okinawa trip for 4 nights and 5 days”, we coordinated clothes, bags, shoes, etc., and cut out a calm time in Okinawa and a life-sized self in his 30s.
When I looked at the finished photo, I was surprised to see a face I had never seen before, which Mr. Kotori had taken for me. Both the shy personality and the personality of the fussy person were reflected.
