Content introduction
★ INTRODUCTION
The novel “Sword Art Online” series (published by “Dengeki Bunko”) by Reki Kawahara, who won the 15th Dengeki Novel Prize <Grand Prize>.
The story depicting the success of the main character, Kirito, set in the next-generation VRMMORPG “Sword Art Online” has
been very popular since the release of the first volume of the original novel in April 2009, and as of 2021, all over the world. Cumulative circulation has exceeded 26 million.
The first period of TV animation was broadcast in 2012, and 4 series have been broadcast so far, as well as a wide range of media mix development such as games and comicalize.
In 2017, “Theatrical Version Sword Art Online -Ordinal Scale-” was released.
It was a big hit with box office revenue of over 2.5 billion yen.
“Sword Art Online Progressive” is a
reboot series by the author himself who draws in detail the trajectory from the first layer of Einclad, the beginning of the whole “SAO” story.
A completely new animation of the new “Einclad” version drawn by the original author, Reki Kawahara, from the perspective of Asuna.
This is not a play, even if it is a game.
Game over is directly linked to real death.
The death game “Sword Art Online”, which is the origin of everything
, opens a new curtain on the screen of the theater.
★ STORY
This is the story before “Flash” and “Black Swordfighter” were called by
that name- “Asuna Yuki” who accidentally suffered “Nerve Gear” that day.
Originally, she was a third-year junior high school girl who lived independently of internet games.
She told the gamemaster.
<< This is a game, but not a play. 》
Death in the game leads to real death as it is.
All the players were confused when they heard it, and annoying screams swirled in the game.
Asuna was one of them, but
she set out to capture the floating castle of steel, Einclad, whose top is invisible, without knowing the rules of the world.
A fateful “encounter” to visit Asuna while surviving the world next to death. And “Farewell”-.
She is at the mercy of “Reality in front of her”, but it is the solitary swordfighter Kirito who appears in front of her who fights hard.
