We boldly took on the challenge of creating a forbidden animal motif, something that had never seemed possible before. Since a normal design would not be interesting, Sekimura and I formed a clique to come up with a funny animal design.
We came up with a funny animal design. In my own design, I slipped a star into the pattern of a maruma, creating the image of a chilled maruma.
The black-and-white pattern, which tends to be plain, has a refreshingly cool feeling. Let’s wake up our feet to the wildness and howl at the sky. -Takashi Imai
