Since “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross” was first broadcast on TV on October 3, 1982, the “Macross” series has celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022. To commemorate its 40th anniversary, we published a book last year that summarizes all the information on the Macross series, including TV anime, movie versions, OVAs, etc. That is the TV magazine “Macross Super Encyclopedia”.

Thanks to everyone’s support, it has been very well received, and we have decided to release the second edition. This time, we are releasing a book called “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross Super Encyclopedia” that thoroughly delves into “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross,” “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love,” and “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross Flash Back 2012.”

The biggest selling point this time is that Ichiro Itano, the animation director, special skills director, and animator who created the three-dimensional, acrobatic animation “Itano Circus,” has drawn an Armored Valkyrie for the first time in 40 years. As you can see from the cover illustration, the missile’s dynamic feel and pose are of the same quality as in the past.

The contents are also more fulfilling than the previous work. Characters, mechanical settings, and valuable materials from the time will be included for “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross”, “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?” and “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Flash Back 2012”. We are planning a rich content that will satisfy everyone from casual fans to core fans!
