The 1982 album
Creatures Of The Night, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, is a milestone in KISS history.
This work, which completely overturned the expectations of fans with a magnificent and heavy rock return sound, is a fan favorite album and a masterpiece that boasts cult popularity.
In October 1982, KISS, consisting of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Eric Carr, released
“Creatures of the Night (Dark Myth)”, a hard rock known as the band’s characteristic. It’s an album that consciously made a return to.
In addition to the harder sound, the album features a heavier and darker mood.
The single, “I Love It Loud,” became a staple song played on almost every KISS tour, followed by
“War Machine,” the ballad “I Still Love You,” and the album. The title track has also been played frequently at their live shows over the years.
Also, “Killer” is a particularly noteworthy track as it was the first song co-written with Vinnie Vincent, who joined the band as a guitarist shortly thereafter.
“Creatures of the Night (Myth of Darkness)” is “Kerrang! ] and
was selected as one of the top 5 albums of the year by both magazines in the annual best album rankings announced at the end of 1982.
It was also certified as a gold disc album (over 500,000 copies sold).
