The 17th official bootleg is the band’s first MSG performance in 2010, which is the first sound source! They

will win “Best Metal Performance” at the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022, and will headline Download Japan 2022 in August. Dream Theater once again showed their presence as the kings of progressive metal. In the “Lost Not Forgotten Archives” series, they regularly release treasured sound sources such as live performances, demos, and studio outtakes as official bootlegs.
The 17th edition includes the first appearance sound source, the Madison Square Garden performance on July 12, 2010. At the time, they were on a North American tour with Iron Maiden, and this was their first memorable stage performance at the rock mecca, a venue they had long dreamed of performing. It was a full 50 minutes of racing through tune. For Mike Portnoy (Dr.), who shockingly announced his departure from the band two months after this performance, this is the last local performance with Dream Theater and a record of a special night where his dream came true.
The Japanese version is a high quality Blu-spec CD2 version.
