The headphone jack supports high-impedance headphones up to 600 ohms, allowing the use of studio-grade headphones. It also allows connection of headsets with CITA-spec 4-pole plugs, allowing use of 4-pole type earphone-microphones for smartphones and gaming headsets.
When connected via USB to a PC, the downloadable Creative app can be installed, which provides immersive 7.1 virtual headphone surround sound with Sound Blaster surround technology, improved dynamic range, punchy bass and other effects, as well as in-game Acoustic Engine audio enhancements such as Scout Mode, which highlights important ambient sounds in games, and CrystalVoice, which improves microphone audio quality with echo cancellation, microphone equalization, and voice morphing.
