The first Patrol was released in 1951 as a so-called “Nissan Jeep”. In Japan, the name has been changed from the third generation to Nissan Safari. The motif of Hot Wheels is the 4th generation Patrol that appeared in 1987, and is a very popular model in Japan as the 2nd generation Safari! At Hot Wheels, the car is not a normal car, but a 4WD car that has been remodeled to compete for speed in the desert or run a hill climb. Large-capacity turbochargers can be seen from the engine hood with large holes.
