La Reforma Farm was founded in 1892 by Rafael Alvarez Larinde. Brought by Colombian immigrants, coffee has become very popular in this part of El Salvador.
Only the Bourbon variety is grown here. Although it is a variety that is vulnerable to rust, the whole family manages the cultivation and struggles every day to produce high quality coffee. There is also a history of winning 3rd place in the Cup of Excellence partly because of that effort.
