Inside the family home of my partner’s parents, we will be auctioning off a 4-piece set of morning dress that my father-in-law purchased at Mitsukoshi about 40 years ago. It seems that he only used it about 3 or 4 times and then stored it in the box.

I have heard that it was a quite expensive purchase at the time.

My father-in-law was around 165 cm tall and slim, so in today’s sizes, it should probably be equivalent to A4 size.

It is made of 100% wool and is suitable for autumn and winter wear.

Jacket: Chest circumference about 96 cm, waist circumference about 90 cm
Trousers: Inseam about 75 cm
Please understand that these are amateur measurements, so there may be some slight errors.

The set includes a jacket, trousers, waistcoat, and tie.

The jacket and waistcoat are black, the trousers are black with vertical stripes, and the tie is black and white striped.

As it is a tailcoat suit, I don’t think there have been any design changes, but since the clothing is from about 40 years ago, I have categorized it as a retro vintage piece with a Showa-era chic touch.

It is recommended for relatives at wedding banquets, opera, operas, choir performances, and similar events.

The owner’s name is embroidered in the inner chest pocket.

Since it has been stored at home, I kindly ask those who are particular about hygiene to refrain from purchasing.
There are no pets or smokers in the household.
