The fun of catching Pokémon has been renewed, with the ability to shake the Joy-Con to throw a monster ball to catch Pokémon. For the first time in the series, two players can play at the same time, and by sharing the Joy-Con, two players can explore the same world together.
This title also supports the Monster Ball Plus (sold separately), a device in the shape of a Monster Ball that can be used as a controller instead of a Joy-Con.
The game is also linked to the “Pokémon GO” smartphone app, allowing Pokémon caught in “Pokémon GO” to be brought into the game.
New elements such as new Pokémon “Meltan” and “Mel Metal” and new systems “Mega Shinka,” “Region Form,” “Hijutsu,” “Sidekick Moves,” and “Kisekae” have been added, and can be enjoyed by those who have played the Game Boy version of “Pokémon Pikachu.
Meltan” evolves into “Mel Metal” only in “Pokémon GO. The “Meltan Candy” needed to evolve Meltan can also be obtained by sending Meltan from “Pokemon GO” to “Pokemon Let’s Go!
